Air Conditioning Installation
Split and multi-split air conditioning for homes, home offices and business premises.
Overview
Summers are getting warmer and many homes were never designed to stay cool. Wall-mounted split systems cool individual rooms quietly and efficiently, and most can heat too. We assess the rooms, the route for pipework and the position of the outdoor unit, then install, test and commission the system so it runs efficiently from day one.
Common problems we deal with
- Bedrooms and home offices that overheat in summer
- Loft conversions and south-facing rooms that trap heat
- Business premises needing comfortable working temperatures
- Choosing between single and multi-room systems
How the work is done
- Survey of rooms, wall positions and outdoor unit location
- Recommendation and written quotation
- Installation of indoor and outdoor units, pipework and drainage
- Pressure testing, commissioning and a handover of controls
What you get
- Cooling where you need it, room by room
- Many systems can also provide heating
- Neat pipe runs planned before installation
- Servicing and repairs available after installation
Air Conditioning Installation: questions
Do I need planning permission for an outdoor unit?
Many domestic installations fall under permitted development, but conditions apply, particularly for listed buildings, conservation areas and flats. Check with your local planning authority if unsure.
Can air conditioning heat as well as cool?
Most modern split systems are reversible and can provide heating. We will confirm the capabilities of the system we recommend.
